Jens was born 12-19-2002 at kennel van het Heukske in The Netherlands. This kennel is owned by Jan Janssen, a man who strives to breed the finest working German Shepherds. KNPV titled GSD's are rare, to say the least. From 1997 to 2005, Jan bred 41 German Shepherds that obtained KNPV titles! In 2004, Jouri van't Heukske (NHSB 2.314.733), a German Shepherd bred by Jan, became the first German Shepherd to ever score a perfect 440 points in a PH1 trial. In 2005, Jouri again became the first ever German Shepherd to score a perfect 455 points in a PH2 trial, and competed in the PH2 National Championships in Den Bosch where he placed 2nd.
Jouri's half-brother Jens is titled KNPV PH1, certificaat Met Lof (Royal Dutch Policedog Union, Policedog 1 certificate with honors). He's one of just a small handful of PH1 titled German Shepherds in the United States.
He is very social, but extremely civil with intense drives. He is unusual for a GSD, more like a Malinois in all regards than a Shepherd. He is currently trained and certified in narcotics detection (passive alert) also.
Jens' should inject some serious drive into any breeding program. He is currently AKC registered, and DNA has been submitted. This dog is available for stud to approved bitches ONLY!
Eros PH1
Eros was born on January 19, 2003. He was owned and handled by Dhr. Egging from Ede. His score in the PH1 trial was 436 points of a possible 440 points, which earned him a Certificaat Met Lof. All of the points he lost were in the heeling exercises, because his handler had a hard time walking and was dragging the dog down. He's an extremely intense, high drive dog but very social and clear headed. He has been trained and certified in Patrol & Narcotics in the US, and I am working him now since Pirate died. He was available for stud, but he just isn't a stud dog. The drive to breed just seems to have bypassed him. Too bad, he's an awesome dog.
