My name is John Friend, I am 49 years old and have been a Police Officer since 1985. I originally started training dogs for a security company in South Florida, where I grew up, in 1978. I have been handling Police Service Dogs since my start in Law Enforcement. My latest K-9, Eros, is my 6th dog so far.

I spend my vacations in the Netherlands attending KNPV trials, going to the clubs to watch training, and just hanging out with dog people. I like to buy dogs at the trials. I have friends in Holland who know what I want, know how I test my dogs, and will find and send me whatever I want at any time.
